PESHAWAR: A delegation of IDPs of Charmang, Bajaur Agency residing in a camp established for them at Sakhakot, Malakand Agency Friday visited the office of Emergency Response Unit (ERU) and apprised the officials concerned of their problems.
According to an ERU handout issued here, the officials gave a patient hearing to the IDPs delegation led by Jan Muhammad and assured them of remedial steps for finding solution to their problems. Dilaram Khan, Haji Rehmanullah and Ayub Jan were the other members of the delegation.
The delegation told the ERU officials that they have been facing difficulties in getting the relief items at the camp. According to them, neither they have been getting food items nor non-food items. “We have been running from pillar to post to get the relief, but no one is ready to hear our voice,” they said.
Provincial Relief Commissioner and ERU Incharge Muhammad Azam Khan has instructed the officials to provide immediate relief to the IDPs of Bajaur Agency. According to him, the government would leave no stone unturned to provide relief to the IDPs as they have given great sacrifice for the state.
The ERU Incharge said that the government would not leave the IDPs alone in this hour of trial and would use all its resources to facilitate them. “The government will start fresh registration of IDPs of Charmang of Bajaur Agency and Upper Mohmand Agency from June 29” he added. |
